I spend many weekends cruising up and down the coast in my mates splitty when i was in my younger days, back then i always thought they are too bloody slow as i loved the V8's and as time passed i realised that old kombis have a lot more pleasure and style about them then the newer vehicles. Then the hunt was on to find a split window, i made many inquiries, flyers etc. Then one day a friend of a friend purchased a vehicle off Ebay and when he went to pick it up in Sydney he noticed a split window in the garage sitting next to the valiant. He then mentioned through passing to my mate about this Kombi and my mate quickly notified me which then i called urgently :D ........ At that present time he was thinking of selling it but it held alot of sentimental value as this kombi was what he bought his first daughter home in it from hospital 27 years ago. He also had plans to rebuild, due to time and funds he decided to sell it to me after we continuously negotiated for 8 months. As this Stage the Kombi is needing some rust repairs, so there for it's spending some time up at Ian's with (Angus). Here is some pics for now and i'll be keeping you posted with the progress. 8)
