66 from the Redlands (Brisbane)

Post by stevo96 »

Hi guys, just saying Hi! Purchased my split a few months ago and just getting started on it. Lots to do as the front panel inc window surround has all been removed.. I've just replaced the front lower A pillars and am waiting on a inner valance plus lower doglegs, floor is almost out and the next biggie is to remove the steering column. I'm doing it by myself and learning along the way. I have2 bay windows as well. I last owned a split 8 years ago in the UK. Must go and crack on now! First question-how high does the front need to raised to get the steering column out? I only have a small jack and axle stands.

I have seen someone dig a hole, deep enough to drop it out.
