Thanks Linz!

Only one, bigger oil pump. Apart from that kept it as stock as I could. Was a virgin case so had a crank grind and new bearings.

Part of the passenger door has rusted out where the glass frame bolts through. So I’ve had an attempt at replicating the pressing to match the original one, using old floor steel, bashed it flat and had an attempt at it.
I Won’t say it, but may have nearly nailed it 1st go! Or close enough for my liking!
Old bit of floor from my old dc.
Even the screws sit flush like the originals.

Nice work !! So much more satisfying creating something then just purchasing it. Not that I know in the steel world, but I imagine it would be the same when I build a staircase
Cheers Linz

Here u go brad,
A quick example of how to do the panel at home if anyone is interested an needs one made.
Cut out from whatever, bash it flat if need be.
Punch a recess with socket of choice in a block of wood
Slight punch the steel with the socket to get a rough outline, then give it a hammering on the woods recess to get the indent
Centre punch the center and drill it to size
Use a screw with the socket and compress in a vice.
Give it a tidy up in the wooden recess again if need be.
And done! With simple tools.
