SpLiTmEiStEr, I am no expert but it kinda looks like the ones that were made for the rag trade. Very VERY few were made and all bar one were panels.
What does the front of the roof look like? Does it look like an upturned boat? _________________

.is your bus a 62/63.. hav`nt seen one of these before, there must have been a few different companies doing their own versions of high tops in OZ and OS... yours looks well produced (not a custom or one off), like the ice cream top, which fits perfectly, some one put a lot of time getting that one right...
a mate has a barn panel that had (he removed for resto) a metal 3/4 roof exactly like yours, started behind the cab.
i dig these old busses, they have a story seperate to (and along side) the kombi .. in time these will be valuble peices of history.
dont let anyone talk you into taking it off |
