62 split project

Post by baykruzer »

just picked this up from Nth Qld.
Stock 1200 motor still key starts and the lights and indicators work.
Being from Nth Qld it hasn't escaped the rust but it's no worse that most.
House reno's are the priority right now so the bus will get the rust cut out and a quick tidy up for rego.
Hope to have it on the goldy for mid Feb and on the road for the surf comp weekend at cresent head.

top stuff. Maybe Brad can do you a matching interior for the front seat.
Interesting mod to the rear bumper for motor removal. I have seen another bus with both of the same alternator mod and bumper mod before! Good luck with the resto.
Imagine what you would do if you knew you couldn't fail.

Wow, see they are still out there... Envious. I would love to find something similar..

At least it looks presentable, and reasonably intact.

Good work!
