Weld in the back end of the treasure chest floor between the wheel arches and made up some upright sections to weld in at the front of the floor.

Really enjoying watching your resto.
Sorry for an ignorant question but how did you smooth the spot welds when installing your floor? Angle grinder, sanding disc?
Keep up the good work!!

hey there Gaz
I use a 4 inch grinder with a flapper disk 60 grit on all my welds as i find it easy to use and not as noisy as grinding wheel and then finished the floor with some coarse emery paper to blend out from the welds ready for etch primmer.

Started to prep and mark out the inner frame work for the long side and working out in which order to do it. I was lucky enough to grab the side off a bay ute for free locally for the frame as mine was very bent and yes rusty.

Made up a new piece for the bottom of the rear corner beside the valance and left it open at the bottom as i saw on another resto on here.
Also hammer and dolly the bottom of left rear corner back into shape.
