Sorry Frankencab but no build thread.

What you see is how it arrived in this country, the body resto being done in the US then bought by a guy in Tassie and on-sold to me.

As far as the mechanicals go she is pretty much original but when funds come available that will change. She is still unregistered and I have decided to give it to Al (Das Resto Haus) for him to weave some of his magic. When he starts I will start a build thread.

I love the dove blue as well but the wife wants white. We will do all the mechanical work and get it on the road then I'm sure she will come around.

Bloody hell, not another reverse mullet!

Great score, 63 lefty. :)
Gotta love a DC.
You seem to have an affinity for south paws.
Any reason why?

Hey Andy,

No real reason for the lhd affliction other than the van was the best "rolling shell" I could find at the time.

When the wife requested a dual cab she was the one who wanted it be lhd and what you see certainly fit the bill nicely!

I'm used to sitting on that side now after the last few years anyway.

Cheers

Of course!
You own the LHD shiny gunmetal/silver Panel, don't you.
We met at the Winter Welcome Picnic last year.
I understand the appeal of the DC although I like vans.
Besides, it's too shiny to take paddock bashing after bunnies and foxes.
Cheers & God Bless

We did meet briefly but I seemed to spend most of my time chasing 4 year old boy!

You're right, it's way to shiney for paddock bashing especially after hearing about the size of the wombats down your way

Just spoke to Al and will be sending the DC to him in January!!!

Oh yeah, and I spent most of my time chasing a 3 yr old.

The wombats aren't a hassle when you're out with a spotlight.
Anyone driving that fast across a paddock deserves to hit something.
Besides, lacks stealth and finesse.
The foxes know you're out there but there's no need to make a show and dance about it.
But it would be a pity to rub the DC up against some wire on a gatepost or a really spiky bush.

Al's a good choice.
His work is excellent and if you aren't afraid of sending your DC from the US to Tassie, and then from Tassie to NSW, another 1000km to the Gold Coast is a drop in the bucket. :)
Cheers & God Bless

Have had a few engine gremlins so the van has been off the road for the last few weeks.

Picked it up from the dyno tuners yesterday an the graph shows 100.3hp at the rear wheels - pretty happy with that!

Need a larger capacity fuel pump and we should get a couple more ponies out of her.

Now to try and find some money for the dual cab.
