61 DC - My New Project

Got this a few months ago from the States via a couple of guys in Tasmania. The 1098 had just blown its second headgasket in 4 months (got to love Italian engineering) and the van had just gone to Brads for a full interior so money was a bit tight.

When I saw the photos of the DC I knew the body was too good to pass up so thanks to the good people at Macquarie Bank, Andy (aka wohoo) and a bit of luck it became mine.

It has been sitting in the corner of the garage at home waiting patiently for work to begin (read find more money).

The van is soon to get a 2160 twin webber (the engine which was in Sharks bus) a rack and pinion kit and a set of guages then we will look at the DC.

The plan? Red 9 front and rear ends, discs front and rear, chrome radars, deluxe trim, etc...........

Thanks for the nice words gents, appreciate them.

Just wish I had the funds to get the ball rolling but as they say, "good things come to those who wait". At least it's in the garage so the hardest part of the project is done!

Hey Mammo, it's the same. It just came to Sydney the long way via north-west Tassie.

Andy picked it up and delivered it to the ferry in Devonport, it had a nice boat ride to Port Melbourne, jumped on a car carrier and 48hrs after leaving Tassie it was in my hands.
