Thanks mate, very happy. More turboed lefties is what we need! (Matty where are you??????)

Gearbox doesn't suit red9 rear end other wise I would have grabbed the complete package
Yeh that's me.. the DC will be wild, no doubt.
I still have thoughts of a turbo street engine one day soon, most likely will be a complete 2332 crate engine from Chico. I'll be watching your progress 8)

Two reasons why I can't do that.....

1. The wife still thinks the dc is hers so she might start asking questions when it's no longer in the garage

2. When it's finished I can die a happy man as (hopefully) it will be MY perfect splitty

Thanks for the offer anyway :D

PS when it's done and we drive it back from Al's we can drop in to Byron and you can take it for a spin :D
Id be happy just to watch you fly past as i try and keep up...

Hey Warwick,
I look forward to seeing your bus up at Al's and shoe horning that monster engine into it. When might we get the pleasure?
After many years of avoiding forums I finally got onto one!

Baz,

Mate I wish I could send it up tomorrow but the accountant has applied the handbrake a bit (but what he doesn't know can't hurt him or the ATO). Realistically I'd say it will be heading your way (after I have paid for red9 both ends and engine) Feb/March? Maybe that's wishfull thinking, we'll see :D

And yes about time you popped up on here!

Cheers,

Warwick

Well....... It's been a long time since there has been any action on the DC front. The red9 front and rear ends arrived about 6 months ago, the stupid 2442 turbo is sitting in Al's reception room (I think?) and the Dc has been sitting in the bowels of the garage (totally neglected).

I've come to the realisation that the ultimate vision isn't going to happen for a long time so I'm going to get the old boy running in his current state (original running gear) and get him registered.

I know it never happened until there are pic's so hopefully I'll get some up soon.

Don't worry Al, I still plan on sending her your way, just not sure when.

Cam,

I think it's dove blue. It was painted in the states at least 5 years ago now so I'm not 100%.

Whatever it is I like it.

When I get around to sending it up to Das Resto there will be a fair bit of body work going on so I dare say it may end up getting a brush over.

Thanks for the compliment by the way :D

Has it got rust issues or dings, Warwick?
It looks pretty good.

Andy,

Dings - no, the body is fantastic.

Rust - not on top, who knows what we'll find when we blast the undercarriage

It's been sitting in the garage for the last four years collecting dust!

Good to see you've started the process Warwick - any funds saved on installing the Red9 yourself will be dollars you can put towards squeezing the big turbo motor in the back! It's all pretty straight forward and of course we are happy to help over the phone/emails with the installation - one of the benefits of buying from us (the Australian distributor) instead of going direct!

Cheers
