The 15 is sea blue, not sure on the white. Pics tend not to show the white differences too well anyway, definitely a colour best appreciated in the flesh. Steve K should have some beautiful sea blue pics any day now...

Just to confuse- there are TWO. (2) different mixes called sea blue. The bus had the more green tint in the blue- with either blue white for '64/65, cumulus white for 66/67. There is a thread on the Samba with the usual skeptics puzzling what is "correct".
Colin's beautiful bus is the more blue/less green mix, I have gone with the more green, as it matches the colour from inside the fuel flap.

Ah yes I have read that Samba thread, very helpful info in there. I’m just wondering if I run with a a blue/White top colour and the 66-67 year Sea Blue bottom . Paint choice is a tough one !

My Buddy has started on the Bus, the nose and long side will take the whole week to flatten and block then I'll pay him hourly to finish the rest. Everything is back to bare metal, treated and re primed
Hope to be done in about 4 weeks.

Big job.

A day was spent on the lower windscreen and nose, shame I can't have the join line from the lower windscreen to nose visible, my welding of that area was an issue and I had to butt weld some of it to make it strong . Oh well, a few panel joins are covered over, so don't go looking for them !

LHS now filed and primed for blocking, I've spent hours with a wire wheel prepping the small detail, still had lots of paint in the seams and corners.
