CCC I have to admit it wasnt till I finished my splitter that I thought I would be allowed in, I figured DSK was split owners only.

Now I know differant, I could have been kruizin round in all my bays in here..

I've got '67 Panel that's been a long term project.
A PO converted to IRS and a balljoint front end.
I've got heaps of parts, a just-run-in 1600 DP for it and a L-Bug box but I have a sinking feeling that the PO also threw away a fair bit of stuff.
I bought it in 2000.....I think( ), but due to a lack of funds the missus and I had to put it on the back burner and it spent the last 18 months in storage while we were house minding.
But with 2 little lads, one of whom is OBSESSED with Daddy's kombi and spent all morning sitting in the drivers seat while we moved it from storage to the new house, it's time we got it on the road.
Hell, the kid is sharper eyed than I am.
He spotted a split bus on top of container in Mitchell, ACT, and I didn't know what he was on about and thought he was saying Kombi at will.
Now I knew better to trust his eyes more than my own!
Anyhow we need a second car and nothing's been the same since I had to sell our '77 9-seater bus 3 years ago when our eldest was born.
The damn thing cost us a fortune but we both shed tears when I sold it to a good mate up Bathurst way who's given it plenty of TLC.

Hi everyone i have just bought a 11 window 58 split from Tassie, just waiting for the transport company to pick it up, as they have been very slack up to this point, but what do you do when they are doing it on the cheap? Not sure if it will be on the road this year but i hope so, as this is the first project my wife has approved of.(numerous four wheel drive projects in the past, not so happy)

just picked up 65 ute

Ive got 2 splits (neither restored). Im not sure what years. One has semaphores and the other the pointy blinkers. I got them for my girlfriend. I kinda got into them since watching this forum. Sorry to sound dumb just dont know. I also have other old cars a 66 427 corvette restored, a 67 chev impala SS big block coupe restored, a 54 chev 2 door hardtop,51 bathtub Nash, 55 international cab over truck,52 BMC Mini bus (sort of looks like a Kombi only on steroids), model A Ford coupe and heaps of antique wooden speedboats (around 20, half of them restored) dating back to the turn of the century. Also a few Vespas and Lambrettas from the 50's

I too am an early bay owner (1970 deluxe) - had a number of splits over the years. Sold them and now regret it.

Had the OK to buy Allans 64 panel but was to slow off the mark - thought I was going t get a late Xmas present.
