Don’t know why u braced it, they didn’t back in the day....
That’s a great photo! But once parts of the gutter is removed they flex out of shape and become flimsy, especially at the rear hatch and above the cargo doors where they are vulnerable. I just wanted to make sure it all went back together as it was
What!????? No way!?!! Haha

Flimsy as shit once the gutter/strengthener is cut out. Let’s just hope the bus was square before the roof came off

That’s amazing Rusty, mine was all on the piss but my bulkhead had been hacked and it had been side swiped. This is going great mate, have you got strengthener panels yet? I couldn’t find them when I did mine and just had them bent local.

A little more progress...

I have removed the last sections of roof that were attached to the side and rear strengtheners. Which just leaves the section directly welded to the gutter to remove.

Rear strengthener above the rear hatch removed, plenty of flakey rust in here and the metal is very thin...

Left hand side gutter much the same as the rear. Very thin and full of pin holes. The strengthener is also very thin in places and will be replaced..

Right hand right gutter is quite good, I will only need to repair a small amount on this side and I will be able to sandblast and reuse this strengthener...

Air box vents on the right hand side had been smashed with a hammer. The profile was out of shape so needed to be repaired. Big thanks to Brad for the donor repair section...

The damage...

Clamped in place... the whole air box is going to be sandblasted so this will all get done at the same time.

Headliner card channel sand blasted, sprayed with weld through primer and installed..

Nice work man. Big job but you’re killing it. Makes you wonder why someone would hit that with a hammer. Bizarre
Squat, place chin on chest, tuck head and tip forward, shoulders connect with ground and back follows through, legs go over the top and feet land on the ground. That's how I roll!
