Hi Klaus,
I was thinking of seeing what John Sherman has as he is relatively near me and I want a front disc brake conversion from him as well. will have a word with Todd as well on your recommendation as I will need the whole standard conv package I reckon. I think I need the engine adaptor plate, modified flywheel and shallow sump pan. Looking at getting the Suby wiring loom modified by these guys .. http://amauto.com.au/home.html

I have to find out what I keep from the suby and what I can get rid of , another learning curve

Sad to say I have sold the Splitty ( to a DSK Member ) ! It became patently obvious that I would never have enough money to complete the bus and get it on the road - but I gave it my best shot !

Time for me to stop getting ideas above my station and go back to owning Bay Windows  My plans now are to sell the Squarebacks and buy a road going Kombi ( aka "No Rust" ) or if not I will put the 71 Squareback on the road and take that to Valla and perhaps buy something down there.

Here's some photo's of my old Lowlight Dormobile I drove in the UK, it had possibly more rust than the splitty but I had an excellent Brother-in-law who did all my welding, shame I cannot get him to emigrate !

See you all around the traps - possibly in a Splitty if I win lotto :D

I'm sorry to hear you had to sell. I've had to sell projects in the past & there was one in particular, a '72 SC I was really sorry to lose but it's best to be able to let go if you have to. Hope you can find another aircooled VW that's affordable but has cred.
Cheers & God Bless
