It was a bit daunting one the front was cut free but all went back together rather well.

Hey,
Had a good look at your bus on last Thursday when I went down to look over the barny.
The boys are the best still on for 2014?

Hi Cam,
Likewise I had a good look at your Barny, lots of funky green going on there, looking forward to seeing what monster motor you are putting in it.

Still on for Valla but the bus wont be pretty until I get the rear drivers side panel sorted out. as long as it rolls on 4 wheels and has a roadworthy it will do !

A bit more progress on the old bus, The boys got the cab floor in and the A pillars on as well as lining up all the door gaps after fixing the crappy passenger door I supplied ....

Fitting the front nose was a different story, the front I supplied turned out to be slightly too narrow and so a $500 part turned into a $2,500 part after lots of skilled fettling on the English Wheel. Also with this repro panel the swage lines etc around the wipers is all wrong for an early bus, so parts of the original had to be used and let in to the panel .....

A bit dormant recently while I scavenge some more cash together. Unfortunately I had to miss Action Day and do an emergency trip to drop off my Kombi as a small window of opportunity opened up at a friends Welding shop, he has been promising to do some work for me for ages and as he is now selling his business it was now or never ....

I knew he had a Splitty hidden away somewhere that he started to restore about 12 years ago, but for one reason or another hasn't been finished, I found it lurking under some covers .....

Image

So he will be welding in my bulkhead and welding up all the small holes that have been drilled over the years and doing some roof repairs and ( fingers crossed) removing some dents that are everywhere :D

Once I get it back it will go on the rotisserie and then back to Das Resto to finish the windscreen repairs.

Thanks Ian & Brendon, coming together slowly ! Lambretta's haunt me everywhere ... I even have another Vespa in my shed but will sell that on soon.

Although I have my 1600TP engine waiting in the wings I still have a hankering for Aircon and creature comforts, and as I have to do a complete rewire I have dipped my toe into doing a Subaru Conversion. So heres my EJ22 Engine ....

I wish I could use that 5 speed auto box :(

The wiring will be a challenge ...
