Looks great. Nice that you are taking the time to do things right like the strengthened tow bar and the like.
Will be good to see the Mini VW combo when done.

The mechanical bits starting to come together, front end from a late bay, L Bug gearbox and a mild type 4 uprighted engine

Work starting on the interior. Im aiming to get reasonably close to an SO42 style camper but changing things as I go along. This is the roof supports for the lining. Using baltic birch plywood

Beautiful job mate - I am thinking of a tow bar on my split - so thanks for the detailed photos. I am still researching my motor options - Did you have any trouble finding the bits for your type 4 motor? I was led to believe the parts are expensive and hard to get and you have to have modified tinware and a special manufactured exhaust?
