Are we still getting updates on this? I heard it might be finished?

Our engine were too big, unlike the 7.4 Litre commodore .

Hello DSK world, well I have to say after a PC melt down quite a while back, getting an admin to reset your password on here is as hard as fitting a reproduction dogleg to a 60's bus  I think I have a fair bit to catch up on. But the essentially the bus is "finished". Not sure these kinds of builds ever really are. But its through Regency, so now 100% street legal and proudly wearing its "60SPLIT" plates with pride. I have a list of things I either put on the back burner until it was legal, like hooking up the cruise control (it's all fitted) and also some niggles like a fuel gauge that seems to at times act like a stoner on meth. But at least I can work through them when I feel like and in the mean time enjoy driving it. Working backwards to the melt down, we went for our first overnight stay shake down on Friday. We stayed at a little country town Sedan, which is one of our dark Sky zones to the sky at night was awesome. the bus drove and performed perfectly, which naturally i was very relieved about. Just need to remember how to upload pics to this now.

Just before Christmas the guy that runs Auto Extreme Expo at Wayville show grounds saw the Kombi in at the trimmers. He invited us to display it to mix it up a little from the usual street machines. Quite a big deal for me as a car guy as its probably Adelaide's premier car show. So the push was on to get it driveable by then. We made it and i drive it there and back on a permit, no trailer queen here! We got quite a crowd around it across the week end and were stoked to receive best european. Super cool.

Engineering Lane Change Test
Probably the most terrifying thing i have ever done in a car. Adelaide international raceway main straight, concrete walls each side. Go to the far end, accellerate as hard as you can up every gear and enter a row of cones 3.5m apart at 100km/h, hard swerve to the left 3m and go through another set, then swerve back into the original lane. At no stage can you brake or lift, there is a speed gun measuring you in and out.
