Re: My 1963 11 Window
Found a plastic box that had been used to collect some bolts and odds and ends which over time filled with water and it was just a brown mud/mushy sledge.... I was going to sling the lot, but decided to tip it out and jet wash what was in there...
I was pleased I did.. After a couple of hours cleaning - this is what I had: (any idea what some of them are?)
Really pleased with how the horn turned out:

Okay, so I'm going to play the dumb foreigner here for sec. Did all '63 buses in Australia have bullet turn signals? And I didn't think upper vents started until 1964.
Very very cool bus, regardless, and I'd totally keep the access hatch so long as no fumes are coming up into the cabin.

Re: My 1963 11 Window
I've seen a few variations of the 63 to 64 as squidy mentioned, from high long vent small back door still with ice pick front door handles to big lip rear guards and still packing the small rear door etc, seems Australia got the left overs mix n match which is kind of cool.

Re: My 1963 11 Window
Late 63 was when the vents moved up top. There are a few high vent small window buses around but they are not common. All 63 buses had bullet front indicators.
Squat, place chin on chest, tuck head and tip forward, shoulders connect with ground and back follows through, legs go over the top and feet land on the ground. That's how I roll!

I can see from the photos why you are stoked with that Kombi. It's got way more solid metal than rot, by the looks of it.
Well done, especially waiting 4 years.....

Well its been a while.....
I still have this van! I returned back to the UK where I have bought a 59 Mango and 66 Canterbury Pitt.
This van is in storage in Sydney and has progressed body work wise, but thats about all.... I will be bringing it over to the UK shortly, but thought I would share some pic of what it looks like now...
A bit pic HEAVY - but its been a while!
