67 SC Project

Post by DUB187 »

Hey guys.. Recently bought my SC from WA.. Had it brought over to Sydney and working on getting it ready for Valla. That's the goal anyways!!

1905 Scat, MA motor works trans w/ straight axle, adjustable beam with flipped spindles, 16 inch wheels with rear widened to 6 inch to mention a few goodies.

I'll post some pics as I'm getting the body and paint neatened up for assembly before getting onto the mechanics.

Fun times ahead!

Rub rub rub!! my local super cheap is badly stocked so I'm stuck for a week or two until they bring in some more wetndry.. Might get the car running before I finish the body now.

Located in Arncliffe (near the airport) .. I know there's a light green SC nearby in bexley, I've seen it at the Harry monthly meet.

You in Syd?

My bus came with off white safaris.. They look super ugly and don't go with the colour scheme.. Thought I'd spray the outside with black plastidip.. Was easy enough and it's a good product, although I let the second coat dry before pulling the tape off (big mistake) .. Because it's a plastic, it dried over the tape and didn't leave a clean line (as I'm only painting the outside black, the internals look nice off white as they match the knobs) ... Best thing about this product, it just peeps straight off, so I'll give it another go in the coming days.

Here are some pics anyway, I'll post up a pic of it finished.
