I like that middle seat Ian, great solution to the non existent original middle seats. Are you making an arm rest for it also?

No arm rest mate, the seat is more like a Fat bloke chair, maybe a hand grab rail on the bulkhead, which reminds me of the hand rails on the back seat of taxis when I was a kid, maybe just showing my age, anybody else remember them?

And the fake Patina I am having fun with, started out trying the rub thru technique but it doesn't look that real, so I sprayed red 2 pack primer on the outside and I think im on a winner, best part is if you don't like it you can rub it off and have another go. I got a 2000 sanding disc from the paint supplies that goes on my orbital sander and will go over all of it to remove the shine

Thanks Guys, I think if I didn't have the ute to work on as well it would be a challenge to stay focused on doing things so nice, at least with the ute I can smash and bash it out, so its usually 3 or 4 days on the Cubby Hut and 2 days smashing it out on the ute, at the moment i'm enjoying it, and the best part is the end is near. Ian

Painted the white in the front and rear bumpers, my masking skills leave a bit to be desired, but theres always sandpaper to fix it, and fitted the front bumper
IMG_4561 (2).JPG
Also been working on the door tops for two days, and i'm struggling with them, both of the doors with all the rubbers and glass make the doors drop, its not so much the weight but the rubber around the top pushing the door down, and the thickness of the rubber between the door and the window track, so tomorrow I will have to reset the door hinges, lessen learnt today, next time I fit doors I will reco the door tops and fit all the rubbers and glass and fit them as a whole unit

Found the problem why the frame tops wont sit down, the rubber on top of the door needs a bunch of trimming, but the main culprit is around the quarter vent.
