Had to sacrifice a box of Cadbury’s favourites to get the template cardboard would have made it easier.

A big moment on the build of this bus started on the weekend with loading the bus up on a trailer and taking it to coopers workshop to start getting it rag installed plus a couple other tricky rust repairs done
A great day and late night was enjoyed at his shed with prob 25 -30 people throughout the day and night swinging by for drinks and big stories been told

The Vw gods have looked down upon me and smiled once again

So the rag install got off to a bit of a shaky start
After cooper checking out what I had in my unopened box’s from grumpys it turned out I was missing the more important bits I needed to weld to the roof
Now my bad I should of checked my unopened box’s I bought a year ago
So I was on the blower to Gordon to get some sent over from the west
None in stock
None coming in the next few containers
Mmmmmm air freight from the states is the next option
Now I believe in fate and everything happens for a reason
So when I rang cooper to apologise again for stuffing him around and give him a update on where we stand on getting these weld in sunroof panels he says to me
“ I’ve just thought of another idea that might get us out of trouble and going again “
“ I know where there a og sunroof cut out of a samba bus that is surplus to customers needs since I have his brand new bbt samba roof top at my place “
“ I’ll see if we can buy it “
Now how cool is that not only a sunroof standard mango bus now to have a og sunroof installed
I think this bus was always destined to get a og sunroof installed I’ve been trying to talk cooper into selling me his og sunroof for the last 4-5 yrs
Once again huge shout out goes to cooper for coming up with this idea and organise the deal and picking up my sunroof clip today

Ah shit, this gets better and better. I hope grumpy is coming to the party and making you whole again? Good job Cooper, got any other cool OG shit in the wings we don’t know about?

Na not grumps fault
I just didn’t order the right kit, needed to order the one with the weld in panels as well

Cooper made a start on the mango this week
First he unpicked the front inner and outer valance and blasted the inside of the front nose
