Finished die grinding the welds to the tubs a job I’ve been putting off
And making a start on modifying my seat base which turned out to be pretty rusty so didn’t feel bad about chopping it up. Lucky to find a old ironing board frame that was the correct size pipe and with a few bends in it to help with going over the tubs

Tonight’s progress
Welded new tabs and spikes on seat base
And repairs and mods of seat springs to fit new shape of base, even managed to weld up a broken spring

Well I thought since I was on a roll I might well keep going
Moved onto the backrest part of the seat

Now I thought this one was in better nick, but on closer inspection it is actually worst and requires more of a rebuild than the base section
