Day on cleaning up parts and sorting out bits
Need to raise some cash so sticking extras on eBay....
Original trim given a wet and dry and lots of polishing coming up well, using new sections on nose and will wet n dry and hand polish to so more matched

Front seat repaired and off to sand blaster next week along with rear and door tops

Stuffed around with seat belt mount points yesterday for the front.
Deluxe trim for front bumper test fitted fine
Deluxe trim for the rear pain in the butt as with the slashbumper there is a ridge along it and means a gap above or below the trim, gave up yesterday and will have a google and see what I can find

Finally after over 2 years on rotisserie got her on wheels yesterday
Later beam with disc front and irs rear though going for a highish ride height and original steel rims

Id reckon your bumper trims are earlier pressed bumper copies. Theyre not as crowned. Bus is looking great though! Which SWR formula and paint did you use?

Swr almost done and beige grey going on.
Looks darker in these pics than it really is.
It’s taken an age but getting there.

So starting to reassemble
Back on wheels, disc front and ball joint/ irs rear
Trim on
Locks and handles back in
Wiring on (vwlooms.com)
Working on rear hubs, missing some springs and small spacer from a 68/69 bay
Gearbox rebuilt and in today
Bugger, sorry about side on pics

Lots of work over January and now almost on the road
Original fuel tank welded, sealed and painted and back in
Gearbox rebuilt as irs freeway flyer with tall final drive and now installed
Nice 1915 motor built by Fritzspeed in Brookvale. Bd A1 sidewinder extractors with heater pipes
Inside now all walls dynamat covered , roof and doors using the lighter weight foam mat
Wiring almost done.
Stuffing around with handbrake cables of course too short....
Blue grey trim for seats with the trimmer
Need to work out rear shock and where to mount them,( any suggestions?) bus will be tall compared to the others and aiming at only an inch or so lower than stock

Pics to follow, aiming to be on the road in the next few weeks then finish it off
