That’s great Dave, looking really good.

Let me know when you want the car body dolly. Should have one ready after Easter

How happy would you be rubbing the Smurf paint off to find such a well preserved museum piece. Great work and look forward to seeing that on the road.

Saw this in the flesh tonight, definitely has some pinstripe remnants and definitely cool as fuck. Keep going Dave, you’re 60% done…..if you don’t count the roof

So as its been a bit on the warm side I’ve been spending a bit of evening time removing bits and cleaning them up.
Started with the dash, removed electrical bits and shelf and gave the dash a wipe over. It’s going to be a one off for sure.
Then I was going to strip the paint on the engine lid so started to pull the bits off, at some point its had a T handle installed in the latch and its stuck in there so soaked it and moved on.
Next thought I need to get the last windows out before I can really hook into the cutting and grinding so removed the passenger door top.
It actually came apart pretty easily and not in bad shape and still quite a bit of nice Palm green on it

Only a couple of rusty bits on the frame and only have to drill out 1x countersunk bolt and 1 of the small bolts through the top of the door on the bottom rail snapped off

Looking good mate. I’ll drop this heater boxes and the polisher around this week. Just remind me if I don’t do it by Thursday.

Haven’t had much time for the bus lately.
I’ve removed some more bits like air box flaps and remnants of the headliner around the cab. Pulled all the electrical from the dash so I can finish cleaning it then bought some of Wiz’s rust buster so hopefully try that out on the weekend.
Found the OG fuse card, never sean one before so thought that was kind of cool.
Also cleaned the engine lid up
Then tonight got back on the paint job, cleaned up the drivers door and top. Hopefully get this paint finished soon.
