Plumber bus

Post by red hot bus »

Got this bus a little while ago and it has jumped the que. I was pretty keen to see what was hiding under all the green paint. I was happy with just the dove blue goodness but the sign writing was a nice surprise. Over all it’s a pretty solid bus but still needs all the usual places repaired. So I’ve chucked it on the rotisserie and started cutting out the rust and will hopefully take it to the blasters soon to get underneath blasted.

Managed to spend a bit of time on the old girl. Got the roof stripped back to dove blue pretty happy with how it come up. Plus kept cutting that rust out to a point I was happy enough to take it to the blasters.

Dove blue dashes are still out there, a quick dash swap is nothing for you. That paint has come up awesome mate.

Been chipping away at the old plumber bus, got the long and short side sills welded up. Also did some more paint recovery that revealed a previous owners name (R. Dibley from Nyngan) managed to get in contact with his son who remembers have to wash it back in the day. Unfortunately no period photos of it at this stage.
