@kayjay77 hard at it, also pulled part of the harness out, shit old belt mounts, and generally removing crap.
removed old subfloor and clean up, test fit of new sibfloor and checking on lower seperator panel. Chassis repair sections too, time consuming part..

some pics...

probably not going to bother with the reserve tap, choke and heater control tubes.. , not running heaters (ill still put in the large centre tube, most likely install a diesel heater under the floor), no choke needed and bay tank so no reserve tap needed., etc. plan is to repurpose the switch locations for other controls.. turn on an amp, switch for the diesel heater, etc... :D - so still need to replace the handbrake, choke and accelerator tubes, any tips there? just get some steel tubes from somewhere, or do i need something very specific?

Was a really good, productive day. Didn't come across anything more horrific that we didn't know about. Another good day should see the subfloor in

If you go to a brake shop and ask for Bundy tube, they should be able to provide the right stuff for the clutch and accelerator. I got some a while back for my 65 Devon from Parramatta Brake & Clutch Service.

Also I have a small diesel heater I bought last winter from ebay similar to this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Diesel-Air- ... 3053370503

You can have it for $70, only fired it up about 3 times. I think they are a touch too noisy for installing under a bus, but your welcome to have a listen first.

Cheers

I’ve always wondered about those and what they are like. I’ve been hunting a round ceramic heater that could be mounted inline with the heater tube, can’t find much.

thanks for that Steve, will sus out those tubes.. will have a think about that heater for this bus, id have to break down that case, not a problem tho.., they are bloody brilliant, mines setup as a 'portable' kit for now, see photo, you can see the tube feeding into the back of the bus, the heater itself just sounds like a fan, the 'noisy' bit is generally the ticking of the diesel pump, i have a few solutions around this to silence it, have been researching for a while, as a reference I can keep the van very bloody toasty off grid, the diesel lasts a very long time. (about 200ml per hour, 5l tank) - in this photo it was about one degree outside, and the van was toasty as.. i also use a T piece and run it to the teardrop trailer too, however i'll probably hardwire one in this van, and one for the trailer moving forward. I know of a few peeps running them in busses, straight into the heater tube, however I plan to put in a butterfly valve and vents to feed the cabin while driving, and the rear when parked up.
