Actually when I look at the Dual Cab all I see is a almost look alike to Klaus’s Dual Cab, in my head I can see a running driving Dual Cab Splitty every time I look at it, to me it is an easy fix, and I get that other people see it as junk, I am busting to get on to it

If anyone sees junk they’re crazy. You’ll have it welded before I have mine painted

That looks like a huge task put that one back together.
Is the scope similar to your single ?

I think it’s a couple of steps up from the single cab, Cooper has generously set me up with a chassis he has had for his Dual Cab, but now he will be using a Barndoor chassis, I think his build will be awesome. So start with the chassis, floors in, wheel tubs and lower the body onto it, I am also hoping to get one of those new BBT Dual Cab roofs. I have to finish up Tom’s single cab before I start, and still have to get a bunch more of parts. Hope to start at the end of the year

Definitely not junk Wiz.

You can have the original engine lid off my 62 SC, should provide some benefit.

Parts I have been collecting for it, the cargo floor for a Dual Cab from Das Resto was a score. Have most of the rear sorted now to start collecting parts for the front

vanell wrote: Sun Aug 07, 2022 1:06 am Dragged it out of his back shed today and moved it up to the shed with concrete to get it on my jig, going by the chassis number it’s a May 61 Dual Cab, and has oval taillights. So at a guess it would have been a CKD kit that would have been sent here and assembled here in 62 going by how long it took to get here, hence the oval taillights. My day at Tom’s place today, got my jig underneath it and welded some braces in it, the cab was only attached to the drivers side dogleg, as you can see in the picture it’s basically rusted the whole cabin off. I do however see a bunch of good stuff I can salvage. Last picture shows how much the chassis is bent

Always absolutely amazed at how you can salvage so much out of something so absolutely roached.
