Side panels seem to fit, just screwed on for now, made up a new rear seat pedestal.
That’s it for now, I need A Pillars, bulkhead, Dual Cab rear inner and outer rear cabin pillars and a low hinge C Pillar
All in All happy with the measurement and level as it’s going together, It’s rusty but I don’t think it’s been in an accident to bend anything
That’s all for another couple of months

Nah mate, you say “nothing for a couple of months” but we all know you can’t help yourself, there’s tinkering happening and we want to see it!

I am having a go at treating and rust removal using just Phospohoric acid, and it is working quite well
I have been putting it on and waiting a half hour and hosing it off. I’m 4 times in and it’s working a treat , it’s going to take a lot of goes on the thick stuff but it’s working quite well

WOW, that is working a treat.

Certainly making the whole thing cleaner too.

And I got the pop out working with out breaking anything, although not looking forward to getting it apart, maybe I should just do the outside seal and call it done, ratty buses have ratty seals

Yep rat seals would be fine, I'm yet to experience an air tight bus anyway..

That acid looks to be working very well, what's it weld like and guess the paint stick like to it later on?

Welding will be fine, the acid turns it into grey clean metal.
I got the idea to just acid the metal from a YouTube video, Sylvester Custom’s, he paints 2pack sealer straight over it after you have washed it and dried it with a clean towel. He said it is the perfect base for 2 pack sealer

What acid are you using Wiz? Ospho or just something generic?

You can get it from Bunnings, and you know it’s good when it almost straight away burns your skin!
