Deano, that is great news. I love the reason for the bolt on the front end. Just one query, did they have a demister back in the day? I imagine it would get a foggy inside driving in downtown Volksburg midVinter or whenever for that matter.

Grrr, Mr Blue Slip does not have the MDS for a 67 Tare weight, so gotta got to weigh bridge. They close at 3.50, so gotta try and get there Thursday arvo if I can. Then go back and get the slip. And the RTA will want to check it's identity before giving me plates...what a fkin drama.

Not overly into the idea of punting it to Narooma as it's first run in 20 odd years...&*^&(^&(#@!

Stop It. Remind me again why I am not living on 6 acres, with 4 car garage, massive house...and stuck in the outer west Sydney wastelands ... and now her in doors has bought on opposite the beach in Hervey Bay ... yep, everything seems easier in QLD.

Certainly easier and cheaper, everythings a trade off though, wages are slightly less but on the increase, and we don't have access to good trades like Kimm at Indian etc. There is also that little thing called QLD time. It'll be done when it's done!I'd kill for 6 acres and a 4 car garage.Get out of Penriff mate, you won't regret it 8)

Ouch, drove to Simms metal - the official weigh bridge - handed over $22.20 for a receipt to tell me what I already knew, just to stick on the blue split. What a rip off.

But got my hands on the blue slip, but the frikkin RTA might want a 'vehicle identity check' - what's that? more money? a computer thing, or will I have to yet again drive somewhere...?

dean we had to do a vehicle identity check you might have to go
to police car squad or whatever they are called just to see if stolen,
then police informs rta its legal & thats it.
we had to do it because mechanic who done blue slip reckoned he
could not find the chassis number even thoe i pointed to a number he said no not it so we got allicated a new number, arshole it was the number i pointed out.

So is Narooma back on the flight plan for the panel? Nice little shakedown run IMHO!
Don't worry too much, my first trip about a week after reassembly was to Valla. Blind faith, ignorance, mobile phone and RACV membership were my emergency plan.
It all worked out and I had no hassles in a 3500km trip.
