My new/old 63 Panel Van

Post by crewcabconnection »

The last of the great panel vans is returning today...see pleading and grovelling when you sell something and later seriously regret it works.

Pics as and when it shows up at Indian (dont worry Bruce, the drop sills are already on). Looking forward to Mr Grinder chopping windows in it.

And if your going to put windows in, can you get those really long ones, like they fit in bay window panels...

don't laugh, I've got some NOS Bay Westies ... Im thinking of practical camping needs here.

Here's the link (camera video)

To finish the body ... replace the dogleg, cap the sills. Indian did the rest of it before so not too hard ... thanks to Peter for letting me have it back ... and let this be a lesson to all of us ...

Rat Camper? Keeper, Stasher or Seller ... just gotta let the dust settle for a few weeks while the handbrake calms down.

yes I'm serious about making it an 11 window. I want something I can take the kids out camping in ... still can't see that chopping this will cost anymore that buying an 11 in the same state...so chop chop chop, save save save.

It is a real shame, as it's such a good panel, but the price of 11s has gone through the roof since Bruce and Timmy started buying everything up off eBay.

I dunno. I don't want to cut holes in the sides, I want to replace the whole section with a donor from an 11.

I will have a look at the 57 but I think it will be rooted. Try Flynns in Cooma or the big old wreckers at Riverstone. I know he has some splits in there. A few of them have cars on top of them so they might be good to butcher. his names John and I think his number is 9627(or9) 4004. You have to chat with John heaps to get anywhere. Be impatient and you will get know where
