got round to posting some update shots, with 99% of the metal work done time to strip of the epoxy thats been protecting the sheet metal and prep for final paint at this point i did think about clearing straight over the steel but not for me(but is for some one,you know who you are) so on goes more epoxy then high fill.I will do this around the whole bus

got round to posting some more pics, found away at last that manages to find time to work on the bus and balance working on customers cars and family duties
got this door in from the states no rot just a couple of minor dents but makes life so much easier not having to spend tons of hours repairing years of rust

when i got the bus it had a Paris beetle rag top filling a hole that was once a poptop,my plans were to keep it a rag top.I found a guy i the US who was going to reproduce complete Ragtops assemblies for busses and beetles, late last year i got a call to say that the tooling was ready and if i wanted one he would send me one.He is also making the steel rebate that the sunroof fits in which i should be getting in the next few weeks,i will then be welding in the sheet metal making it look like a factory ragtop
If you are chasing any parts for repairing your ragtops check out the web site VW sunroofs.com
