Just spoke to the mechanic and unfortunately it's not that, seems like it's the heavy duty clutch and gearbox/engine is so solidly mounted that the shutter goes through the whole bus.

But the jumping out in first sounds like the gearbox may have a problem..

It's not over yet

Is the shift rod coupling or coupling screw fouling on the body in first gear, this might be why 2nd 3rd and 4th doesnt as thier location doesn't rub on the body

Wouldn't you get it in every gear if it is the solid mounting

If I am moving and put it into first gear it stays in it's only on take off..

The more people I speak too are mentioning the Bowden tube..

Will have to look into it further..

Have a few electrical issues I still need to sort also

Yeah I don't know if I will take this or cruise in the 56.

I'd rather take this when it's fully completed. It looks like a roller skate at the moment it's so high.

Yeah I'm pretty glad I scored those!!

The next problems raised its head tho...

Let me throw this one out there,

When the fuel gets low it runs out of power, I put the fuel pump lower but still when the tanks gets to half or under it starts surging and when you put your foot down there's nothing..
