Leroys 60 11 Window

Post by Leroy »

Went on a 8 hour mission to collect this one yesterday. It is a November 1960 bus. From what we can tell it is a full import too. She is pretty rusty, but nothing time and a welder cant fix
Here are some pics for your enjoyment.

That rear bumper is no good to you.
I recon you could trade it for the correct slashies no worries for what it's worth.
Was this bus up northish?.

What's going on OMR!
Leroy's seems to have 2 splits and you've got none...or are you waiting for a barndoor?

Nice pick up mate.

Same as mine - high hinge and dual rear lights.

Is that bumper off that bus?

Dan - incorrect bumper (but a good score), should be a slash cut for a 60.

Good score Leroy. I like the cement sheet on the rear floor - much easier than replacing it with metal.

Good score. Is it a microbus and what colour was it originally?
Cheers

Nice score. You've got your work cut out for you.

Full import? Hmmm, with those tail lights. not too sure about that.
Is there some letters and numbers stamped on the left side of the engine bay?

Cheers for the comments boys :D

Yeah that bumper is not the correct one for this year, so I guess it would be more important to source the correct slashies and an engine lid/ valance

Looks like it was originaly green bottom with grey top.

John, there is no number stamped on the left, but on the right there is stamped 707304. Also a picture of the paint code on the bulkhead.

P.s my other bus should be in paint friday week. Fingers crossed!

Cheers :D
