57 Moss Monster

Post by FrankenCab »

Bought this one from doveblue and delivered by astralglider , its not that bad once you look past missing floors and a door that sat in a mud hole.
This one will have to wait a while until i can finish 3 other busses but will serve a good purpose in the mean time as a storage shed.
You can see why it will have to wait , and thats just the busses in the yard also have 2 notches and a 67 fasty in the other corner.

slow gotten side tracked , had to rebuild a 79 panel for a mate which took a fair chunk of my split building time. Only have to sort cargo doors and missing roof sections and change lower front sill. Will get there just need lowlight i've stated on for farm and moving crap duties and testing engines and narrowed beams in for splits .

yeah had to make room in the nursing home , gotta keep the over 50's happy.
The moss pretty much died within the first couple of days think it got to mid 30 degs , have only wiped some off on engine lid as i want to try and make a mould of it to ...ha ha mould .. so I can copy it for the DC.
Think dove blue is the colour, bless the person who painted it twice before and didnt use primer , all the paint just flakes off leaving og colour.
Weird bus rust isnt that severe gutters are all good rear hatch has zero rust as does the engine lid , front of bus is dented but only has inner nose section crusty and front ribbed bumper is near perfect, rear one is wavy but should straighten out enough to make a mould off.
If anyone has a drivers door for one of these let me know . Door handles dont recess into door they are a flush fit.

mmm looking at pics again i might clean moss off below the swage line and have two tone moss on top and dove blue bottom, then dump it and drag it to the berry show in may.
