hi all would like to share my latest trip in my single cab to mt gambier, this is the first long trip and i was so suprised on the out come i left saturday morning from adelaide and headed off if you all would like to know the details of the ute and whats it running here is the run down
1600tp
duel 40mm hpmx
side winder exhaust
electric dizzy
64 type 3 gearbox
straight axel kit with adjustable spring plates and one notch down
fliped drop spindles and adjustable front beam
195/60/15 tyres all round
ok on the road was great going up the freeway doing 50 to 55 mph thought that was ok and got to tailem bend for the first stop and fuel up i only let it get to 1/2 tank on the gauge b4 fill as i knew that it wasnt correct but i had a fuel can as a back up lol just to be safe..
stop off for a rest and a good pic shot at coonalpyn, and then lunch was a keith and fuel they have great chicken n ships so if your ever that way stop off at the bp there for some great food next was naracourt then mt gambier.... spent the weekend there and bloody cold wow did i mention cold was good saw the sites and did the usual tourest thing got a lot of waves and thumbs up from cars and bikes driving past and there got lots of compliments about the ute
what shocked me was as it was my first long trip i took it easy as you never know so my average speed was 55 to 60 mph and the fuel cost there and back was $160 and along each stop i took note on the amount of letres of fuel i put in and worked out that i was getting between 9 and 11 ltrs to the 100km wich is not too bad i think
so here is a few snap shots i too
enjoy
