Bug Bash 2013 - Antioch, CA

Yesterday was the annual Bug Bash event out here in NorCal. The weather has been odd over here and I think going from 90F on Saturday with lots of sun to misty, cool, and threatening rain on Sunday kept some people away. But this was finally a chance to get the whole family out to a show. With two toddlers in tow, we carried all the gear in the bus, and had everyone else follow along in the wife's Subie. The show itself wasn't a long haul...only about 55 miles or so...but the winds were getting the camper wiggly all over the road, even with 8-ply sidewalls!

All in all, a great time. But we were tired by the time we got home. Scored one decent item in the swaps: a big vintage first aid kit that I'll mount on one of the cargo doors. Anyone interested in buying a smaller first aid kit from the '50s for Pacific Gas & Electric?
Headwinds on the way home coupled with some decent sized hills got my oil temps up around 220F for a little while. That's higher than I like 'em, but I know my little 1600SP is getting itself ready for a proper refresh.
