Fantastic barndoor pics, September 1959 when I entered this world. Must try to find pics to post of our families 60's and 70's split and bay camping exploits.

wow, amazing to have such pics still in the family...not like today, when our kids say what was it like when I was a kid, we can almost say 'what day' let alone year.

i have this one from my wifes grandfathers collection, he raced english cars and bikes back then, was great to see a splitta in this one. i think that they was taken sometime in that eara

noice... ill have to find the slides, my olds bought a bus, drove around oz for the honeymoon, sold the bus to buy a block of land in sydney.... crazy

That is soo cool 67pickup thanks for the pics and the stories...

i have a picture of me at 6months old sitting in the drivers seat of my first car, a 68 beetle, that i inherited 16 years later when dear old Nana past away...i loved that car, i always used to polish it for her when i was a kid..and she always said it would be mine one day, sadly it happened sooner than i would have liked but she kept her promise...my dad drove that 68 beetle home from the show room floor after trading in Nanas 56 beetle that she had from new ... at least i know where i got the obsession from...
