Adelaide to Perth in a Country Buggy

Post by Cheeseboard »

Rumour circulating Folksvest SA yesterday was Gordon’s mate set off in the country buggy heading west.

Good luck and God’s speed (85kph).

Any updates Gordon on progress?

He can’t get on DSK with his phone, so I guess he ain’t going to respond till he gets home, I got a message today about a new coil and condenser fitted and they were back on the road, but I have no idea where they are

Seeing I’m a self-confessed top bloke, I’ve volunteered with Gordon’s permission to do live updates on the trip seeing he can’t get on DSK.

Day 1…. FAIL

Broke down after 10km.

Day 2…. Adelaide to Kimba after some love from the people at VolksCare.

Day 3 Kimba to Eucla. 803km day. Good mate apparently is Casey. Done some crazy things in his time.

Country Buggy averaging 93kph.

My maths says roughly 9 hour day planned.

I smile every time I think about Casey driving that thing, then I remember he’s going all the way to Freo and just laugh. Absolutely amazing effort boys, keep going. Thanks for the updates Mick.

Touch down in Eucla.

When asked how his CB driver is doing …. “Casey’s doing great”.

That man is on a mission, in the pics looks like he is rugged up. I’m assuming he is frozen solid and can’t get out.
