niko's 61 microbus
Here's a few pics of my 61 bus I got from ebay a few months ago.
I've got a little done but many more hours to go.
Plans are IRS rear end disk brakes, a little lower than stock and a new looking smart bus. A little chrome and two tone paint job.

If your fabricating skills are anything to go by; you won't have any trouble with the splittie..
Looking good so far.
Cheers

Re: niko's 61 microbus
Thanks Tony,
The buses are a little less complex than the monocoque chassis of the p76 thats for sure.
This was the last thing I designed and built based off an edge buggy, its now for sale to help with the bus resto.

Few progress pics of the removal of out riggers and chassis beams, using a spot weld drill bit.

Re: niko's 61 microbus
Cheers mate, these are old pics from before I went to the states 6 weeks ago, just trying to catch up. Today I've been working on closing my shed in and hooking up my new compressor. Hopefully next week I'll be blasting the whole bus then welding new parts on.

Re: niko's 61 microbus
Worked on the steering wheel, its pretty cracked up but nothing a little sanding, filling and painting won't fix.
It come off the shaft with a puller then its was dremel time, vee prepped the cracks then applied two part epoxy.
Filling with car bog and then primer and paint. Ended up putting on 8 coats of clear just in case it wears off.
