Great job. Seeing it like that should be motivation to get it on the road pronto!

Yep thats the plan its worked out great.Better getting it on the road than sit in a shed for 5 years getting it perfect
I thought for a while that id stuffed up the drivers side A pillar as the door hinges were closing before the door closed and the door latch was hitting the b pillar. But it was just bent door hinges. Pretty tricky to fix, had to cut a groove where the bad bend was then straighten and weld them back up. Without the groove cut all that would move was the door sheetmetal the hinges are pretty tough.

I tried using stop leak in the steering box, but didnt work. The output shaft seal is just too old or worn it drips not much but over a few weeks made a mess. I heard about this Penrite vintage steering box lube, I used a hot water bath to warm it up and squirted it into the box with a syringe.

winter is coming, and need the demister working for roadworthy.
Interesting that the og system cools the exhaust headers, might help keep the heads cool on this high performance beast

Well I adjusted the gear shift lever and found a couple of missing gears.
faaarkin first is low hey and noisey as in the cab like driving a tank
Main thing was it drove to the work shop and it passed the blue slip no problem!

I know what you mean. I drive a patrol ute and it is about 1/2 longer than my brothers hilux when we both park against a wall.
Now when I park my split against the same wall it is 1/2 shorter.
Looks great BTW. They are good city colours. Will look brilliant parked at night in front of an old building. Really classy.
