Welded in new dog legs, these were from Mick Motors in Brissy. These are of 2 piece construction unlike the one piece originals. Fitted perfectly however.
All painted up and the original bumper replaced. Pretty happy with the way its coming along.
Had a couple of weeks off work, so made the decision to get the brakes and suspension sorted. All brake lines renewed, plus all new linings and wheel cylinders, had the original drums machined and topped it off with a new master cylinder. The king and link pins are still serviceable and steering box had little play, so I just replaced all tie rods as well as the steering rod arm and greased it all up, it seems nice and tight. 4 new shockies rounded it all off.
Bought some new floor mats for the front as well as a new steering wheel, also scored a full length period roof rack that blends in perfectly with the sunburnt roof. Still have plenty to do, all interior door cards and panel as well as getting all the lights sorted. Painted some old hub caps with primer to get that commercial look happening.
Finally took it on the road, be it briefly, for it's first drive and went and stopped surprisingly well. hopefully be finished by xmas and on the road legally. Check out the vid.
