Cheers people for the exclamations. (that's the most awsomes I've ever had in 24 hours !). I'm now in the process of having a good read of youze guys projects. One; to gather some semblance of what I'm really into, and two; to tell myself, that I'm not alone (although come winter here up to my elbows in a boxer and minus 5 degrees.... I'm gunna be alone).
PS. I've done myself an avitar and signature, so it probably means DSK is stuck with me.

Hey mate,
Check this out, just like yours.
Took this pic today of mine just finished.
Love to know your DMB or MBD number in the left corner of your engine bay as they will be sisters for sure being late 61 built.

Just can't leave a good thing alone. The nose on this thing just was bothering me so the hydrolics came out of the box and with a few pushes and taps, the bus looked like it could breathe again.
I will need to clear the access behind there, but should be able to push, pull and shrink out most spots.
Gotta say that it must have been a rough last few shooting trips with not much of a buffer zone between the drivers knees and the dents in the front end. The top stud on the front drivers shock mount is sheared off too, so they might of called it a night after the last shooting trip. :|

Mate, there is bingles all over this nose and limited access. I will be looking through galleries to suss out the lines. Pity I didn't have a spare bus just next door to compare shapes.

This bus is the find of the year at least!. Nice work. you might be able to use the old rugby ball in the restricted area? deflate , place in restricted area and inflate.
Can do wonders with nose wounds. Mitchell

Roamed over to the Parkes swap meet today. Still chasing a few early Holden parts but now I have the eye out for the VW stamp.

Admittedly, it was fluke, but I scored a pair of Hella headlights (1957's). Really nice chrome trim rings, crisp glasses and ok reflectors, plus all the screws and spacers and gidjits. Going price ; $15. Thrown in as well was a front and a rear blinker lens.... As they say in the game 'if you are not shopping at the western Swaps, you are paying too much'.

Also met a few other Kombi owners and a few leads on mechanicals. I wasn't advertising what my project is, just carrying a transporter workshop manual around while looking. Next swap meet, I should carry the nose emblem.... Sure to be good quiet advertising that I am working on a bus for anyone in know.

After the snow on Friday, I really wasn't in the mood for presure cleaning the underside... Plenty to do topside. 8) :)

Good score, LG.
As for the snow, it was warm and dry enough for me to pull the motor & box from a Bay near Taralga on Saturday.
On Friday morning I didn't think it would be though.
Cheers & God Bless
